Shadow Electric Sundays

SHADOW ELECTRIC SUNDAYS

After a successful debut season, The Shadow Electric Open Air Cinema, is continuing its very popular free Sunday sessions at The Abbotsford Convent. Sundays in the courtyard start early with drinks from 12pm. Kick back with table tennis, scrumptious food from Mr Burger and $5 Moritz beer all day. When the sun goes down later in the evening, our screen rolls down and our Sunday film program commences around 9pm.

Pre-screening entertainment will be provided by some of Melbourne’s finest DJs.

A COLOURFUL STORM

We welcome back A Colourful Storm to play some records this Sunday. If you want to know what they’re about, take a listen at http://acolourfulstorm.com/

DJANGO UNCHAINED
Quentin Tarantino (Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Inglourious Basterds) delivers a brutal western from the southern states. In exchange for freedom and a chance to rescue his wife, enslaved Django (Jamie Foxx) joins the mercurial bounty hunter Dr King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) on a journey through the bloody southern trails of 1850s America. All roads lead to a place called ‘Candie Land’, a plantation run by the vicious Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio).

A ticket will be required for the screening and can be purchased: here

MR BURGER FOOD TRUCK

Mr Burger sells burgers. From a food truck in Melbourne. And they are awesome. He arrives at The Shadow Electric around 3pm on Sundays.
